Volleyball Recap: Brewer Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Hampden + How To Watch

Brewer faced Hampden in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Witches fell 3-1 to the Broncos. The Witches were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Broncos earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

While Brewer had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 24-26, 25-18, 25-20.

Despite the loss, Brewer still got an impressive performance from Zoe Drake, who had 25 digs and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Molly Lagasse, who had ten digs and one assist.

Hampden was led to victory by Daniella Madore and Zoelle Raymond. Madore had 11 digs and three aces, while Raymond had 20 digs and four assists. Those four assists gave Raymond a new career-high.

Brewer dropped their record down to 9-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Hampden, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Brewer nor Hampden have any future games scheduled.
