Softball Recap: Schenck Comes Up Short

Schenck and Jonesport-Beals squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Schenck had to settle for second. They came up short against the Royals, falling 12-1. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Wolverines couldn't push the score so high this time.

Schenck has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season. As for Jonesport-Beals, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Schenck does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jonesport-Beals, they will square off against Penobscot Valley on Thursday. The Howlers will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something the Royals surely won't give up without a fight.
