Volleyball Recap: Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran was the 3-1 winner over Peshtigo when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Blazers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs on Thursday. The Blazers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 28-26, 28-26, 25-20.

Despite the loss, Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran still got an impressive performance from Jaden Schmidt, who had 19 digs and two assists.

Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 13-11. As for Peshtigo, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-6.

Coming up, Peshtigo will challenge Wabeno/Laona at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran will be paying especially close attention to the Bulldogs' contest: after the Bulldogs face off against Laconia, they'll take on Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran again at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
