Baseball Recap: Westbury Takes a Loss

Westbury was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 11-3 to the Austin Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-1 back in February.

Westbury saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaymari Robinson, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Daniel Quiroz also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Westbury's loss dropped their record down to 7-13-1. As for Austin, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-11.

Westbury didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-1 defeat against Carnegie Vanguard on the 26th. As for Austin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 9-0 loss against Galena Park on the 25th.
