Volleyball Recap: Viewmont's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Viewmont waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Clearfield Falcons 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in March.

The win didn't come easy: Clearfield scored at least 20 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-22, 25-20.

Matt Welsh paced Viewmont's offense, picking up 13 kills. Welsh got some help from Dallin Lether and his 35 assists.

Viewmont's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Clearfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Viewmont is set to take on their familiar foe Northridge at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Clearfield will square off against rival Woods Cross at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
