Basketball Recap: Juanita Sanchez Complex Takes a Loss

Juanita Sanchez Complex was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a blow against the Barrington Eagles, falling 52-22. While losing is never fun, the Cavaliers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Rhode Island basketball rankings (they are ranked 45th, while the Eagles are ranked fourth).

Olivia Morrissette had a dynamite game for Barrington, going 7-for-12 on her way to 14 points in addition to six rebounds and six steals. That's the most boards Morrissette has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Martin, who scored seven points and four steals.

Juanita Sanchez Complex's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Barrington, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-5.

Juanita Sanchez Complex does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Barrington has already played their next match (against Tolman/Shea), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
