If Hawthorne wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Crescent City, they should've done a better job of containing Angie Villanueva. The Raiders blew past the Hornets 3-0 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Villanueva, who had eight digs and six aces. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.2 aces per game.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Crescent City took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-7, 25-12.

Crescent City is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Hawthorne, they dropped their record down to 0-9 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
