Rochester STEM Academy had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were dealt a 71-36 defeat at the hands of Hayfield on Thursday.

Rochester STEM Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ilyas Hassan, who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals, and Ali Mohamed who scored 10 points.

Rochester STEM Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Hayfield, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rochester STEM Academy will face off against Triton at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Hayfield, they will head out on the road to face off against LeRoy-Ostrander at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
