Softball Recap: Caldwell Takes a Loss

After flying high against Emmett on Thursday, Caldwell came back down to earth. The Cougars lost 12-1 to the Middleton Vikings on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-0 two weeks ago.

Caldwell has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Middleton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, Caldwell and Middleton will both be playing Nampa the next time they take the field. The Cougars will head out to face the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Vikings will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
