Volleyball Recap: Neuse Charter Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Neuse Charter lost against Rosewood back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cougars lost 3-0 to the Eagles.

The final score came out to 25-6, 25-20, 25-8.

Neuse Charter's offense was headlined by McKenzie Ward and Layla Johnson, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Mikayla Leonard and her eight assists. Finally, Johnson was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

Rosewood was led to victory by Bella Mazura and Avery Ramsey. Mazura had 14 digs and three aces, while Ramsey had nine kills and three blocks. Mazura has been hot for a while, having also posted 14 or more assists the last ten times she's played.

Neuse Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Rosewood, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Neuse Charter wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Franklin Academy on the 30th. As for Rosewood, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Midway on the 30th.
