Basketball Recap: Whiteoak Comes Up Short

Whiteoak was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 45-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hillsboro Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 57-47 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Kyra Boyd was the offensive standout of the game as she posted 15 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Tylee Davis, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.

Whiteoak's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Hillsboro, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season.

Whiteoak has already played their next matchup (against Western), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Hillsboro, they have already played their next game, a 48-47 defeat against Adena on the 8th.
