Volleyball Recap: Rancho's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Rancho not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since October 15, 2024 (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against the Chaparral Cowboys as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Rancho walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-7, 25-18.

Presley Zachary paced Rancho's offense, picking up six kills. Zachary got some help from Layla Driscoll and her 15 assists. Zachary was also solid from the service line: she led the team with 12 aces.

Rancho's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5. As for Chaparral, their defeat was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Rancho and Clark will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on September 2. As for Chaparral, they will head out to take on Eldorado at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
