Baseball Recap: Rockledge Comes Up Short

Rockledge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 9-4 to the Satellite Scorpions. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Scorpions this season, with their most recent defeat being a 7-4 loss last Wednesday.

Rockledge's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Satellite, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Rockledge and Satellite are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Raiders will square off against Palm Bay at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Rockledge's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season. As for Satellite, they will face off against Merritt Island at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Scorpions surely won't give up without a fight.
