With a playoff win on the line, Homestead rose to the challenge on Friday. They breezed past the Fort Wayne Wayne Generals to the tune of 83-34. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matchups by 26 points or more this season.

When it comes to explaining why Fort Wayne Wayne lost, don't look at Layla Williams. Despite the final result, she posted ten points along with seven rebounds and five blocks. That's the most blocks Williams has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Davianna Irons, who scored six points.

Homestead has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 23-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.2 points over those games. As for Fort Wayne Wayne, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season.
