Volleyball Game Preview: Waupaca Comets vs. Freedom Irish

The Waupaca Comets will head out to square off against the Freedom Irish at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Waupaca will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Waupaca earned a 3-1 victory over Denmark.

Waupaca walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 21-25, 25-11, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Freedom posted their closest victory since September 16th on Tuesday. They won by a set and slipped past Oconto Falls 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Irish in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won three in a row.

Freedom took Oconto Falls into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-22, 19-25, 25-18, 15-12.

Waupaca's record now sits at 20-10. As for Freedom, their record is now 16-9.

Waupaca beat Freedom 2-0 in their previous meeting back in September. Will the Comets repeat their success, or do the Irish have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
