Basketball Recap: Marquette's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Marquette had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They blew past the Roanoke-Benson Rockets 63-42. This was a revenge game for the Crusaders: when they faced off against the Rockets back in December of 2024, they had to take a 57-54 loss.

Marquette has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Roanoke-Benson, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-13.

Marquette will venture away from home to square off against Parkview Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. Roanoke-Benson has already played their next game (against Lowpoint-Washburn), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
