Baseball Recap: Heartland Comes Up Short

Heartland fell victim to Oakwood Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 12-0 to the Warhawks. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Mustangs were not able to get on the board.

Heartland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Oakwood Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Heartland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oakwood Academy, they will face off against Westwood Baptist Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.2 runs per game on average), something the Warhawks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
