Baseball Recap: Salisbury Township Takes a Loss

Salisbury Township suffered their closest loss since May 13, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Notre Dame-Green Pond Crusaders by a score of 6-4. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Crusaders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Nate Nunez was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Caleb Gonzalez was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Salisbury Township's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Notre Dame-Green Pond, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Salisbury Township is set to take on their familiar foe Wilson Area at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Notre Dame-Green Pond will face off against rival Bangor at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
