Football Recap: East Lansing Takes a Loss + How To Watch

East Lansing played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Davison Cardinals and fell 57-14. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 88th, while the Cardinals are ranked 12th).

Jaxson Dosh was his usual excellent self, rushing for 88 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries, while also throwing for 206 yards and three touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes for Davison. That's the most passing touchdowns Dosh has posted since back in October of 2024. Tyanthony Lewis also helped with three scores in total.

This is the second loss in a row for East Lansing and nudges their season record down to 1-5. As for Davison, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Lansing will host Everett at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Davison, they will be playing at home against Carman-Ainsworth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals will be up against the Cavaliers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.33 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
