Baseball Recap: Lincoln North Star Takes a Loss

If Lincoln North Star was riding high fresh off their 12-1 takedown of Lincoln High on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Navigators came up short against the Omaha Westside Warriors on Monday, falling 11-3. The Navigators haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Lincoln North Star saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Easton Wesslund, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Lincoln North Star now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Omaha Westside, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-15 record.

Coming up, Lincoln North Star will face off against Millard North at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games the Mustangs have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Omaha Westside has already played their next match (against Westview), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
