Charlotte Latin had won 20 straight games and Ryan Burrell did her part to make it 21 on Thursday. The Hawks came out on top against the Cannon Cougars by a score of 3-1 for which the team can thank Burrell, who had 24 digs and one assist. She has been hot for a while, having posted 16 or more digs the last nine times she's played.

Charlotte Latin had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-19, 25-14, 25-11.

Cannon lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Lily Waite, who had ten assists and eight digs.

Charlotte Latin's victory bumped their record up to 21-0. As for Cannon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
