Last Tuesday, everything went Minerva's way against Salem as Minerva made off with a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.
Minerva was generally in control, but really had to dig deep in the third set to get the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-17, 25-22.
Meanwhile, Fairless didn't have quite enough to beat Tuslaw on Thursday and fell 3-2.
Fairless took Tuslaw into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-20, 25-21, 21-25, 15-9.
Minerva has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season. As for Fairless, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.
