Baseball Recap: Dundee-Crown Takes a Loss

Dundee-Crown dropped their record down to 14-21 on Saturday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Barrington Fillies/Broncos by a score of 3-2. The Chargers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Fillies/Broncos from their previous meeting back in April of 2015.

As for Barrington, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 24-11-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games.

For Barrington's part, Will Renshaw tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over 6.1 innings pitched. Renshaw has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jackson Roberts was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Zack Ostergaaurd was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

As of now, neither Dundee-Crown nor Barrington have any future games scheduled.
