Basketball Recap: Live Oak Comes Up Short

Live Oak lost against Evergreen Valley back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Live Oak Acorns took a 51-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Evergreen Valley Cougars. The Acorns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Live Oak still got an impressive performance from Ethan Estrada Sanchez, who posted 11 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Devon DeHaro, who put up 11 points and six rebounds.

Live Oak's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Evergreen Valley, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-4.

Live Oak didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-35 victory against Oak Grove on the 7th. As for Evergreen Valley, they have also already played their next match, a 59-45 win against Ann Sobrato on the 7th.
