Basketball Recap: Legacy Academy's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Legacy Academy came tearing into Saturday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 60-47 victory over the Lancaster Red Devils.

Legacy Academy was led to victory by Malik Douglas and Anderson Allen. Douglas went 10 for 14 en route to 23 points, while Allen went 7 of 10 on his way to 15 points and six assists. Allen has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Brandon Hill, who posted 11 points.

Legacy Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in three consecutive matches.

Legacy Academy now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Lancaster, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-5.

Legacy Academy has already played their next game, a 67-63 loss against The Carmel School on the 20th. As for Lancaster, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 73-51 win against Colonial Beach on the 21st.
