Baseball Recap: Sherman Tide vs. Scott Skyhawks
Sherman had lost seven straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 6-7 to make it eight. They came up short against the Scott Skyhawks, falling 14-3. If the Tide were looking for revenge after losing 7-3 to the Skyhawks when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for Scott, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games.
For Scott's part, Brodie Null looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, Louden White was incredible, going 2-for-4 with eight RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those eight RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Ferrell, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.
Sherman has already played their next game (against St. Albans), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Scott, they will host Shelby Valley at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
