Softball Recap: Maritime Academy Charter Takes a Loss

Maritime Academy Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 13-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the George Washington Eagles.

Yareilis Santiago-Campos made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Aniyah McFall, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Maritime Academy Charter's loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Maritime Academy Charter wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 23-1 victory against Penn Treaty on the 18th. As for George Washington, they will hit the road for the first time this season to take on MAST Charter II at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be George Washington's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
