Baseball Recap: Mission Vista Comes Up Short

Mission Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Escondido Cougars, falling 10-3. Mission Vista fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Escondido since on Tuesday.

Mission Vista saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kain Burnside, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Mission Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Escondido, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Mission Vista wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 7-3 win against Canyon Crest Academy on the 28th. As for Escondido, they have also already played their next game, a 10-0 victory against Olympian on the 26th.
