Football Recap: Berryhill Has No Trouble Against Bristow

Berryhill won against Fort Gibson last Friday with 31 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Chiefs put the hurt on the Bristow Pirates with a sharp 31-8 win. For the Chiefs, this counts as revenge for the 27-13 victory the Pirates walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Promised Johnson, who rushed for 79 yards and one TD.

The win made it two in a row for Berryhill and bumps their season record up to 2-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 31.0 points over those games. As for Bristow, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Berryhill will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cleveland at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. The contest will give the Chiefs their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Bristow, they have already played their next match, a 21-20 defeat against Wagoner on the 19th.
