Recap: Mancos Bluejays vs. Dolores Bears
The Mancos Bluejays waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 57-15 win over Dolores. Mancos has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 27 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Quincy Montoya, who scored 25 points along with nine steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Claire Goodwin was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
Mancos' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36.67 points. As for Dolores, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mancos will take on Dove Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Dove Creek is ranked 113th, while Mancos is ranked 88th). Dolores will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ridgway at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
