Basketball Recap: Green Canyon Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Sky View typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Green Canyon proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 61-52 victory over the Sky View Bobcats. Winning may never get old, but the Wolves sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Green Canyon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jude Haigh, who went 8 of 15 on his way to 24 points. Haigh's evening made it 13 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Boston Horman was another key player, going 5 for 10 en route to 12 points and five boards.

Sky View's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zachary Oxborrow, who went 8 of 15 on his way to 19 points. The dominant performance gave Oxborrow a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Easton Mills, who posted 11 points and eight rebounds.

Green Canyon's win bumped their record up to 18-1. As for Sky View, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-9.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Bear River the next time they take the court. Green Canyon will host Bear River at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Sky View will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th.
