Preview: Fayetteville Academy Eagles vs. Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders
The Fayetteville Academy Eagles will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders at 5:30 p.m. Fayetteville Academy will be strutting in after a win while Harrells Christian Academy will be coming in after a defeat.
Fayetteville Academy can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They slipped by Arendell Parrott Academy 31-30. The score was all tied up 16-16 at the break, but Fayetteville Academy was the better team in the second half.
Riley Duchon was her usual excellent self, scoring 19 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Fayetteville Academy's points. Polly Miller was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
Meanwhile, Harrells Christian Academy had to suffer through a rough 70-43 loss at the hands of Rocky Mount Academy. Harrells Christian Academy has not had much luck with Rocky Mount Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
The losses dropped Fayetteville Academy to 3-3 and Arendell Parrott Academy to 0-4.
Fayetteville Academy took their victory against Harrells Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in February by a conclusive 39-19.
