Silverado hasn't had much luck on the road recently (they'd lost seven straight) but thanks in part to Rayden Inong that streak is no more. The Silverado Skyhawks walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Desert Oasis Diamondbacks on Thursday with plenty of help from Inong, who had 24 digs and two assists. Those 24 digs gave him a new career-high.
While Silverado might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Desert Oasis scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 29-27, 22-25, 25-21, 25-18.
The win got Silverado back to even at 5-5. As for Desert Oasis, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Silverado will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Arbor View at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th. Desert Oasis also won't see the court for a while: their next match is against Foothill at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th.
