Countryside and Clearwater are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2018, but likely not for long. The Cougars will challenge the Tornadoes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Countryside will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
Countryside will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Northeast, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Cougars came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 8-4 on Thursday.

Chase Hilldreth and Brody Sadlowski did most of the damage at the plate: Hilldreth went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run, while Sadlowski went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave Hilldreth a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Trent King, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Clearwater had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Blake a 9-0 shutout on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Tornadoes, who have now won ten games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Not much got past Ty Woodring, who gave up just three hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Blake off the board.
On the hitting side, Jackson King was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Clearwater kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matches.
Countryside's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-7. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Clearwater, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Countryside has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Clearwater struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Countryside beat Clearwater 5-1 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tornadoes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
