Basketball Game Preview: Battery Creek Dolphins vs. Beaufort Eagles

Battery Creek hasn't had much luck against Beaufort recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the Battery Creek Dolphins will get right back to it and host the Beaufort Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Battery Creek knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Beaufort likes a good challenge.

On Friday, Battery Creek got the win against Whale Branch by a conclusive 69-47. The Dolphins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Beaufort was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 76-44 loss at the hands of Battery Creek. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-19.

Battery Creek will have to contain Samari Bonds as he made an impact in Beaufort's last game. He dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten boards. That was a full 47.7% of Beaufort's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points.

Even though they lost, Beaufort was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Battery Creek only posted four assists.

Battery Creek pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.3 points. As for Beaufort, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
