Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brenham). They put the hurt on the Somerville Yeguas with a sharp 11-2 win on Tuesday. While the Cubs didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-18-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Brenham pushed their record up to 7-2-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Somerville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Brenham will welcome Fulshear at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Fulshear: 3.6, Brenham: 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Somerville, they will head out to square off against Round Top-Carmine at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
