Recap: Wesson Cobras vs. Salem Wildcats
The Wesson Cobras had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against Salem on Thursday as Wesson made off with a 50-30 win. The win was just what Wesson needed coming off of a 83-59 loss in their prior contest.
Wesson was led to victory by Brendon Duguid and Aidan Brice. Duguid scored 10 points, while Brice scored 12 points along with 3 steals. Brice hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Johnson, who scored 8 points along with 11 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Wesson's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 1-7. As for Salem, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wesson will take on West Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Salem, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Woodlawn Prep at 7:00 p.m.
