After a string of nine wins, Shade's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Meyersdale Red Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 19-25, 25-12, 25-20.

Despite the defeat, Shade had strong showings from Madelyn Naret, who had ten digs, and Hayden Oaks, who had nine digs.

Shade's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Meyersdale, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-4.

Coming up, Shade will host Conemaugh Township at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meyersdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
