Basketball Recap: Stow-Munroe Falls Takes a Loss

Stow-Munroe Falls lost against Brecksville-Broadview Heights back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Stow-Munroe Falls Bulldogs took a 52-36 bruising from the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Bees. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 241st, while the Bees are ranked 34th).

Brecksville-Broadview Heights found their leader in sophomore Ashley Perdion, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 15 points. Perdion continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Jessie Zenir was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 boards.

Stow-Munroe Falls has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Brecksville-Broadview Heights, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Stow-Munroe Falls will take on North Royalton at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Stow-Munroe Falls is facing North Royalton at the right time seeing as North Royalton is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Brecksville-Broadview Heights, they will head out to square off against Hudson at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Brecksville-Broadview Heights is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.2 points per game this season.
