Basketball Game Preview: West Lutheran Warriors vs. Spectrum Sting

West Lutheran is 1-9 against Spectrum since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The West Lutheran Warriors will look to defend their home court against the Spectrum Sting at 7:30 p.m.

West Lutheran is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 70-53 to Heritage Christian, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 361st, while Heritage Christian are ranked 104th).

Meanwhile, Spectrum came tearing into Friday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past Lakes International Language Academy 93-40. The Sting have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 20 points or more this season.

Spectrum's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 82.4 points per game. As for West Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.
