In what's become a running theme this season, East Webster gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Nettleton Tigers as the East Webster Wolverines made off with an 8-1 victory.
East Webster got a great performance from Jordan Gaskin as he didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out six over 5.1 innings pitched. Carson Norwood came in to relieve Gaskin and was airtight, giving up no runs, hits or walks in his 1.2 innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Stetson Perkins was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and a double. The team also got some help courtesy of Kouper Shook, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
East Webster's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Nettleton, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.
East Webster will have a chance to go back-to-back against Nettleton: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
