Softball Recap: Mifflin County Takes a Loss

Mifflin County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Sunday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 10-0 to the State College Little Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Huskies of the 6-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Mifflin County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Baker, who went 1-for-3 with one double. Falynn Reinard also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Mifflin County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4-1. As for State College, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Mifflin County will face off against rival Cumberland Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, State College is set to challenge their familiar foe Central Dauphin at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
