Baseball Recap: Doral Academy Firebirds vs. Mater Lakes Academy Bears
In what's become a running theme this season, Doral Academy gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Mater Lakes Academy Bears as the Doral Academy Firebirds made off with a 12-2 victory. The win was nothing new for Doral Academy as they're now sitting on nine straight.
Marcelo Rodriquez looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits.
At the plate, Doral Academy let George Pardo and Sebastian Berrios loose on the outfield. Pardo got on base in all three of his plate appearances with a home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Berrios went 2-for-2 with a home run and four RBI. Pardo is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now stolen at least one in the last three games he's played. Hector Roca was another key contributor, going 1-for-3 with a home run and three RBI.
