Basketball Recap: Watersmeet Comes Up Short

Watersmeet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 24th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Johnston Speedboys 55-21. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Nimrods of the 60-15 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Watersmeet's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Johnston, with the win, they broke their nine-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-8.

Watersmeet will take on Hancock at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Johnston has already played their next match (against Lake Linden-Hubbell), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
