Preview: North Central Hurricanes vs. Westminster Academy Crusaders
After five games on the road, North Central is heading back home. They will take on the Westminster Academy Crusaders at TBD on Friday. North Central has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 518 points over their last seven matches.
North Central posted their biggest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They blew past False River, posting a 84-49 victory on the road. Given North Central's advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while False River is ranked 372nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Westminster Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Sacred Heart on Tuesday, taking the game 55-42. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Westminster Academy.
North Central is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. As for Westminster Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 10-12.
North Central was able to grind out a solid win over Westminster Academy in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, winning 69-62. Will North Central repeat their success, or does Westminster Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
