Basketball Recap: Sherwood Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Sherwood had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 49-37 win over the Midway Vikings. While the Marksmen didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Sherwood's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Midway, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Sherwood will take on Plaza Heights Christian Academy in a holiday battle at at 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Plaza Heights Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.7 points per game this season. As for Midway, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Archie at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
