Baseball Recap: Pomfret School's Win Ends Seven-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Pomfret School hadn't done well against Suffield Academy recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Griffins walked away with a 10-5 victory over the Tigers. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Griffins considering their two-run performance the game before.

The team relied heavily on Sam Power, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Matt McClure, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pomfret School will take on Millbrook School at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Suffield Academy, they will face off against Mount St. Charles Academy at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
