Pierz scored the most runs they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 7-4 to the Royalton Royals. The Pioneers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Royals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Pierz's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Royalton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Coming up, Pierz will look to defend their home field on Monday against Wadena-Deer Creek at 4:30 p.m. As for Royalton, they are taking a road trip to challenge Kimball at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
