Basketball Game Preview: Medina Battling Bees vs. Shaker Heights Red Raiders

The Medina Battling Bees will head out on the road to face off against the Shaker Heights Red Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Medina will be strutting in after a victory while Shaker Heights will be coming in after a loss.

Medina is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Harvest Prep 78-49 on Saturday. Given the Battling Bees' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Warriors are ranked 210th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Shaker Heights came up short against Brunswick on Saturday and fell 59-46. The Red Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Medina's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Shaker Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

Everything came up roses for Medina against Shaker Heights when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 66-26 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Medina since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
