With a playoff win on the line, Franklinton rose to the challenge on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Vance County Vipers a 4-0 shutout. Considering Franklinton have won nine contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Vance County with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Adrian Ramirez, Avery Doi, Armani Blackmoore, and Kemani Wellington.

Franklinton is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for Vance County, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 16-8-1.

As of now, neither Franklinton nor the Vipers have any future games scheduled.
